Benjamin Fondane

Autore fondamentale per la cultura europea, Benjamin Fondane (1898-1944) è stato poeta, filosofo esistenziale, sceneggiatore, drammaturgo e cineasta romeno di origine ebraica. Discepolo del filosofo russo Lev Šestov, si dedicò a far conoscere il suo pensiero. Durante la guerra collaborò a varie pubblicazioni clandestine. Denunciato dalla Gestapo, in quanto ebreo, fu deportato ad Auschwitz e venne gasato il 2 o 3 ottobre del 1944.

I suoi libri sono autentici e imprescindibili classici in Francia.
